Before I became a makeup artist, I was a beauty model — sitting in the chair, watching artists work, noticing what made someone light up when they saw themselves and what left them feeling unseen. That experience changed how I see this craft entirely. It taught me that great makeup isn't about what's trending. It's about the person wearing it.

I'm Lara Claudy. I was born and raised in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil — one of the most beautifully diverse places on earth — and I brought that perspective with me when I made Philadelphia my home. Over more than a decade working as a professional makeup artist, I've worked with brides, film and television productions, editorial campaigns, graduates, and anyone stepping into a moment that deserves to be remembered.

What sets my work apart isn't just technique — it's intention. I'm trained in visagism, the science and art of reading facial features to create a look that genuinely honors the person in front of me. No two faces are the same. No two looks should be either.

I work with every skin tone, every undertone, every cultural background. I've built looks that last 10+ hours — through ceremonies, tears, dancing, and everything in between — because the day doesn't stop, and neither should your makeup. In Brazil, we call it pele blindada — armored skin. It's the technique I built my career on, and the standard I bring to every face.
